you didn't specify manual so this is my shout, we bought one of these in June and its just a smashing all-rounder, getting a genuine 35 mpg even with all the small trips to pick up the kids from school etc.
power, torque, vehicle weight very similar to mk5 golf gti so thats the ball park of the performance, and in the real world of rough irish backroads the springs and dampers are just right. Lovely seats are a bonus.

7 speed EDC is not the same box as the clio or fords that gave some issues (they were 6 speed gen 1 getrag i believe), haven't seen any red flags on its reliability for a car launched nearly 4 years back.

Never thought of a mini, are they reliable?

    Cheers again
I have a 14 VRS TDI (Revo Stage1) and it's entertaining enough for a sensible diesel hatchback. If it is something you would be interested in let me know

    Cheers again lads.

Gearbox wise I would take either manual or auto. Never drove one of that generation of Renault, but hear they handle very well.

As for fuel, due to my normal usage, would stick with petrol for now.

the 4 wheel steering is very interesting to drive, i don't find it interferes at all, just makes it feel like the car is turning from a point in between the front seats.

Have a plug in job as is so would be charging wars with the Mrs for the parking spot where the charger is Grand job, but if going for one, cannot see it in budget and if was stretching for a BMW x30e would shoot for a G30 530e, they look lovely. Cheers for the suggestion.

330e are starting to come down not quite there yet not sure how the battery holds up on the used cars!
