    MK 7 Golf GTD

Having spent 2 and a half years in a Fiesta ST, I needed something a bit more grown up. I wanted a mk7 Golf of some sort, a GTi with the PP was my first preference but I'm doing 30k a year roughly so putting 80 euro or so a week in one would get to me after a while. So then I started looking at GTD's. Now I despise diesels as much as the rest of you but after driving one its fair to say they have moved on an awful lot since I last had one, a 320cd back in 2012. The GTD has 184 ps and 280 ft-lb of torque. They can shift, and unusually they like to be revved. They even sound well inside even if it is trickery.

In the end the GTD was a bit of an obvious choice considering the miles I cover. Picked it up Friday and I am delighted with it. It is genuinely spotless, you would not say it's 3 years old. 1 owner from UK, verified history with VW network.
Spec is nice with factory alarm, nav, reverse camera, heated seats etc. The car came with four new tyres, wheels refurbed, serviced and fully detailed.

Really like the way it drives, so composed on the road and the adaptive cruise is an absolute marvel. This is my third Golf after two Mark 5s and it's by far the best. Some pics from when I picked it up.

I've done over 320 miles now and its reading just below half a tank, I reckon 500 should be easily achievable which is definitely good enough for me.

My longer term plan is to build a garage and have a classic for weekends so as a more civilised daily this is really good.
