Red 1987 Porsche 944 - Stainless steel exhaust

Just in at McEntee Autos is this lovely example of a 1987 Porsche 944. It is the later version of the model with the more sought after oval dash and coupled with it being red this car ticks all the boxes for a appreciating classic Porsche.

The driving dynamics of these cars are fantastic at a near 50/50 weight ratio, due to the gearbox being in the rear and the engine in the front.

The 944 is like most Porsche’s a fast appreciating asset and so can be bought, driven and enjoyed and when I comes to selling it will make the owner money.

Being 1987 it is now vintage ZV registered and just waiting on its new plate due to arrive Monday. This means in a years time when the tax is up it will only cost €56

This example has received some choice additions to make it really stand out, these include a full stainless exhaust that give the car a meaty and aggressive sound, Uprated shocks to improve on the already fantastic handling and more aggressive deep side skirts.

In addition to the above the car has recently received a full service, brake pad and both timing and balancer belts. Please note that the belt are a commonly over looked job on these cars and are a common failing point, they need to be replaced every 3 years or 30k miles and retentioned at 500-1000 miles.

The faults on this example are so common its hard to find a 944 without them and include speedo and odometer not working and the power steering seals are failing but working, both are cheap fixes. Also a small tear in the passenger side seat, and will need a polish, like most red cars.

The car isn’t NCT as is a fresh import but we will happily do so for the new owner.

    €6,700 ono

The odometer doesn’t work? Sounds like a gem!

They are all like that Pete, if you reset the trip milage while moving the worm gear brakes. I have not seen one 944 with a working odometer.

Haha fair enough. There's a first for everything

Genuinely though that has to be the most common fault on the 944.
