Thread: What did you do to your MotorBike today?

  1. #1721
Taxed it for the new year.
Love taxing it, so cheap compared to the rest of the fleet!

Gear indicator still to fit and a few more bits... crimbo hols will be very productive..

On a side note, anybody used biketrac tracking or better?
Really thinking of getting it next.

    Any advice? Please.

I have it on a few of my bikes. €129 per year per bike is the premium. The trackers were fairly expensive to buy and get installed but I am sure the insurance company were happy but I did not notice much of a reduction in their prices. Bikes also have datatags.

    Is with biketrac AG?

Insurance is not an issue... just minding the baby blade is key!!!
Like it to be there when I need to get home

Yes its biketrax. You get an app on your phone and it constantly shows the gps co ordinates of your bike as well as what state the battery is in. If the bike moves without the ignition switched on it sets off the alarm and the monitoring centre rings you saying whats up.

I have Biketrac (renamed to AllTrac) on one of the bikes, nice product but it is expensive

For my other bike I tried another product about 6 months ago, it does not have the support of an agent to ring you if your bike is moved but here in Ireland the police are not tied in with it like in the UK

I find Rewire more accurate ,Rewire is alot cheaper , EU/UK coverage , excellent app, PC/MAC accessible dashboard, low battery consumption , comes with an IOT (internet of things Sim card)

It is 59 gbp for the unit and 60 gbp for 12 month plan or you can pay monthly at 5 gbp, its a UK company; easy DIY install

They are good ideas TRD, I had looked at the monimoto before.
Might just get that one and see. Thanks.

So bought the Monimoto device anyway.
    I’ll report back when arrived/fitted.

Gets great reviews online and not splicing into looms is a plus to me.
Another bit of security for the bike so hopefully I’ll be happy with it.

Got the Monimoto this morning, not fitted yet.
Savage piece of kit so far.

Easy to set up, just to strip the bike now and bury it!

Also ordered a proper LED kit to suit the bike, last time coming from Wicklow in the rain I
May as well have had candles up the front....
