Thread: New car time Korea

    New car time Korea

I'm looking to trade out my hyundai manual coupe for something with four doors and a slushbox.

I'm kinda over the getting a heap of speeding tickets constantly and I'd like something a bit less conspicuous with a bit more room inside.

Here are the options - all have pleather and all the fake woodery you'd want!

    1. Hyundai Equus 3.0, 3.5 v6's and 4.5 v8

Pros: huge, well specced and decentish mpg 20-22 ish
Cons: not many in price range, few with sunroofs.

    2. Ssangyong chairman 2.3(4), 2.8(6), 3.2 (6)

pros: merc engines, stretched w124 chassis, well specced, ok mpg
cons: old tech, old man car
    3. Hyundai grandeur xg 2.0 (4), 2.5(v6), 3.5(v6)

pros: used extensively by taxi men, anonymous as hell, 200 bhp 3.5
cons: same mpg and engine as the first equus but smaller on inside, toyota corolla-esque premiums.

I'm flipflopping on these three mostly - i obviously like the fake mercedes a lot but they are rare enough on the roads and cheaper to buy than the other two which strikes the fear into me!

the alternative I really don't like is below but they are the cheapist of the lot and reliable enough as they're basically a nissan maxima

The aim of the game is to buy something for pretty much the same as my thing is worth give or take a grand and get some more practicality into the mix.

choose which one ye like best !!!

On looks alone Id go for the last one.

Internal spec and engines would be the deciding factor though

Christ, that's like asking if I want a kick in the face or the stones...

Sorry for your troubles. I'd probably go for the maxima if I HAD to pick between those 4, but really, I would hold on to what you have and just take a bit of lead out of your right foot!

hah not a chance in hell!

It's a different world over here lads, my 2.0 hyundai coupe is pretty much the fastest thing on the roads in this city but my back is giving up on the low slung, lowered suspension/delrin bushings thing is killing me !

Yep the v8 does pretty much the same mpg as the v6 but all of the cars except for the fake merc are front wheel drive too !

something i enjoyed a lot from the merc coupe was the differing sensation of being driven from the rear

Can you find TVR in Korea ?
When a man opens a car door for his wife, it's either a new car or a new wife.
