I retired my very trusty Apple TV when I needed 1080p but the newer ones couldn't be jailbroken.

Picked up an Amazon Fire TV thing, installed Kodi and its been fantastic.

An employer will always favour a 1:1 over a bare pass. Just saying you got a degree isn't always good enough.
