I think that the family told him to stay away after Trump questioned the legitimacy of McCain's military service / military records / time spent as a POW.
I think the family were rightly incensed at Trump's moronic and tasteless commentary.

Meanwhile it seems Agrentina is now the new hotspot destination for Russians fleeing their dear leader.
Around 2,500 pregnant Russians have moved there in the last year to have their babies, getting citizenship and the ability to travel a lot more freely to other countries, including the EU, UK and America.
There are so many arriving that they have put up signs in Russian in the hospitals.

So if you have the means and you want a sure fired way of escaping, get knocked up and head to Buenos Aires.

All while hundreds of women in Ukraine are expected to deliver their babies with the constant fear of being bombed and blown to bits, thanks to the laissez faire attitude to targeting their bombs and missiles, by the Russians.

For the last 25 years pregnant women who could afford travel left Russia and spent time in the likes of Florida at resort-type clinics (funded and run by other Russians) where they would deliver the baby. Hey presto, the child could get US citizenship and a passport. Then return to Russia, until the next child etc etc Forward planning, given the lack of trust in the regime. A lot of those kids are now adults who were part of the exodus from Russia in 2022, as they held dual passports. It wasn't just the USA of course, other countries were similarly used to have dual citizenship for new born kids, dependent on budget and means.

Meanwhile the latest attempt by Russian MoD to blame the troops themselves for using mobile phones isn't going down well (apart from anything else, dropping hundreds of troops in an ammo and fuel dump in known and previously demonstrated range of Ukr indirect fire weapons isn't terribly clever):

I really hope this year 2023 will bring russia collapse, putin's death and it will cause ordinary russians to wake up. Right now it seems that they have learned absolutely nothing from this pointless war despite all the casualties which are growing increasingly quickly lately.

Interesting indeed. Add in non-payment of TV licenses, parking-fines, failure to pick up dog-poop in the prescribed manner and you'd give the local councillors and politicos there some proper clout
