At the start of the war the Garda were posted outside the ambassadors residence in marked cars. I guess the ambassador didn't like the Garda colours so now the Garda are in what looks like a portacabin and unmarked cars just across the road from the entrance.

Armed police or military posted at virtually all Russian embassies in EU countries.
I feel bad for them having to stand around outside in colder climates whilst Russian staff sit inside in the warmth so if passing stop for a quick chat to break the monotony or bring them a coffee etc

This is apparently a hoax - a sort of weird and depraved either self promotion by Wagner or promotion of Wagner by some other Russian party.

The fighting in Bakhmut continues...





The fighting is mostly two access points, an old water tower and a gas station. (You can see both on Google).

Some of the photos (that I wont link to) show the edge of a forest into a clearing. There are Russian soldiers bodies' laid out as far as the eye can see. The Wagners are pushing wave after wave of mobinks into killing fields of cross firing Ukrainian machine guns, mortar and artillery. The battle has been raging there for 5 months now, and not a single kilometer of land has swapped hands.

Coming back to a post a few pages back: This is an important lesson. It's not only about how you want to fight a war, it is also how your enemy wants to fight a war.
If your enemy wants a WWI (nevermind WWII) war, you have to be prepared for that too.
