Can the Russian Army actually make an off-ramp? Without losing all the building equipment and workers let's say.

The off ramp is long buried with murdered and raped women and children and a wasted country. And he/ they long know that. They would be a pariah to the world, a failed regime of murderers and depravity. I don't think that there has been an off ramp for a long time, realistically, ever.

The thing about that duel (which probably did cause some damage to the M777 and crew) is that the Russians got lucky. They have to get lucky every single time to win, but they cant. The Ukrainian fire direction and control is miles away (pardon the pun) from the Russians.

In smaller news; All hospitals in the Moscow oblast are overcrowded with wounded from the war (approx 10.000 wounded in Moscow and area). There is a shortage of nurses and doctors (many who got dragged of the the war in field hospitals) so trainees are being pulled into the wards to assist. Dont get hurt in Russia.

So I see the US Senate has approved the $40bn aid package for Ukraine. That brings aid so far to $51bn. The Russian defence budget (which I think was 4% of their shrinking GDP) is $61bn.

Someone in Russia has to be going Oh $hit. How will we tell him?

The longer this goes on the longer it is going to be like soldiers in bunkers operating cursors obliterating soldiers in WW2 tanks carrying 1950’s AK47s. Hard to feel sorry for the latter as they (or some of them) are murderers of the unarmed and rapists.

The mad thing is that as an investment proposal this is a winner. That spending goes into US factories and boosts the ambitions of those states with limitless defence budgets (democratic Saudi Arabia take a bow) and those states with real defence needs (India hello!) to kind of make sure they can buy the expensive stuff that actually works. India cancelled an order for ASW choppers last week from Russia even though they operate a whole bunch of the same ones already. Possibly because the Russians are using stolen washing machine chips to equip precision weapons and drones.

For the curious, compare the widely shared drone dropping a grenade in a drinking glass dropped by a drone of they type you can buy in Harvey Norman shared by the Russians to the Ukrainian Bayraktar strike videos.

Yeah one of the outcomes from this whole thing is the massive hole it's going to put in the Russian arms sales to other countries.

If their lucky the Taliban might just still want to use their favourite AK47 style shooters.
It's sort of a mandatory look to have a bunch of lads with AK's on the back of a Hilux anyway.
