Appreciate the feedback-it's driving me mad.

OK so a bit has changed for me since I last posted here.
Pulmonary embolism on January 12th (relatively big effect on training), and wedding on February 11th (minimal effect)
Cardio only for the first month after and lower load since restarting to get back up there.
Provisionally hope to compete July 2nd but only if I've been taken off blood thinners (haemotology appt May 12th)
Bought new (first) singlet, knee sleeves, deadlift socks and belt. Savage quality (SBD brand) next day delivery from Belgium

Great that you recovering and getting back into it Roars. I can't believe its nearly 10 years since I started this thread - I wasn't even retired back then. I have not been in the gym at all since covid but weight lifting was not much of a feature of my exercise well before that. I just find it so tedious and boring. I find the swimming, cycling and running is enough for me these days so I am not even sure I want to go back. I could never do squats over my bad knees. I am still nervous about covid so I think that's the main reason I have not got back into it.

I got to the gym this morning at 6.30am. First time doing that. I wish I had the go in me to do so regularly, it's fantastic to get it over and done with first thing in the morning and feel the benefits of it throughout the day, not to mention having the gym to yourself virtually. I've never been much of a morning person though.

We still have to book our 1 hour slot in our local gym. Still think I prefer regarding numbers at any one time.
3PM is my favourite slot as at 4 it fills with school kids.
They reopened the sauna and showers this week so was a very happy bunny re that.2005 Alfa 166 2.0TS Grigio Geo - Daily Driver

So I have entered to compete on July 2nd.
Spotted and loaded at the same venue this past weekend.
Hard work and scary when lads are squatting over 200KG!
Great experience though2005 Alfa 166 2.0TS Grigio Geo - Daily Driver

Lifetime PR on deadlifts yesterday 210KG/462lbs for 1 rep (with think 1 more rep left RPE9) ,
bit of RH QL discomfort, I'll see how it responds over the next few days:
