One of the more important threads from the old site was Flet's Gourmondo.de one. I just got in before the lock, to try out the service for myself. Ordered on Friday 16th. One box took a week to arrive, and the other appeared at the office this morning. My original order was changed when they realised they didn't have everything, and the card was refunded. Mildy annoyed at this, but I can't hold a grudge seeing as they sent me beer. So, for my quick introduction to cheaper beer I'm gonna get stuck in to this lot.

I went with the 15 quid delivery option, but I'm sure it'll make sense to sign up for the year in future.

I went with the 15 quid delivery option, but I'm sure it'll make sense to sign up for the year in future.

I think I made a correction on the old thread but if not, sadly the annual flat rate postage for doesn't work outside Germany. I signed up for it at some point, got charged delivery on the subsequent order and then when I checked back they said not possible, sorry. Ah well, it would have been too good to be true.

Top work on buying all that AND 2x 5L kegs for €15 postage.

Haven't tried the Flensburger yet, and didn't get a chance to when I was over in Berlin a few weeks back, but it was cheap, so I threw in a few bottles to try it out. There should have been another 2 kegs of Hasseröder and a single bottle of Oktoberfest Lowenbrau in that order.
The Andecheser was what I had in the Biergarden in the Tiergarden. Suits my tastes. Heavier beers, I need to get into, hence the Weissbier sample pack. I'm thinking I'll have to make another order before Christmas!

Just as an aside, they also run a loyalty points scheme. I normally hate them things, but signed up and they backdated all my orders so they owe me about €7.50 worth of beer which is daycint. There's also a 5% off offer on the front page for subscribing to their newsletter.

Stayed in nice little hotel.
"vier Bier bitte" was called many times during the evenings
for minimal cost.
Great people the Germans.
