For some inexplicable reason, threads in "Motorway Services" don't let you embed video, so starting a new "What are you listening to.." thread in bits and bytes instead. Old thread here: The What are you listening to Thread............ (backroads.ie)

Turns out it’s more fiddly than that. The video insert icon generates the VIDEO and /VIDEO HTML tags. But to work, it expects the first tag to say VIDEO=youtube;xyzblahblah where the latter is the YouTube content ref.
Second link was wrong btw.Last edited by motorhead; 07-05-2021, 10:56 PM.

Video embed doesn't accept shortened youtube URLs, needs to be the full URL, e.g https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oqqD...el=BabaAliVEVO

This is quite nice on DFA, old but memorable

Since 2011 films like Drive and games like Hotline Miami showed me that electronic 80s style music with a modern twist existed I have been listening to that style music and looks like I am not alone as this type of music became extremely popular online and makes great driving music IMO. Here is a song from my current play list.
My car history:
1995 Honda Civic, 2002 Honda Civic Vtec-i,1998 FTO GX, 1998 Toyota Chaser, 1995 Toyota Supra, 2001 Toyota MR2, 2007 Nissan Cube, 2003 Nissan Fairlady Z

Drives soundtrack mostly picked up on the work of the "Italians Do it Better" record label run by Johhny Jewel of Chromatics, Glass Candy and one or two other bands/psuedonyms he's associated, but of course they draw on some obvious influences too (Italo Disco, 80s synthpop, Bruce Springsteens synthier moments, Kate Bush, 80s C86 indie). I think though that's where the modern strain sort of crystalized really amd everyones jumped on the bandwagon since. That and Kavinskys "night drive". Look up the "After Dark" compilation from 2007 by the same label and you'll see what I mean - a lot of the acts on it are also found on the Drive soundtrack.
