  • New timing belt fitted, cam, intermediate shaft and crank seals and a bit of a cleanup.

All these jobs are seriously making me want to keep her, at least until I can get the ls/ 2 door driveable.

Nice color, new pumps and fuel lines, timing belt, hoses, stereo so far!

The manual is a good bit more fun than the old green one too!

Still needs tie rods inner and outer, engine mounts and drive shaft Uj's.

I've to get it tuned with the current ecu or run with getting myself a holley terminator X max ECU setup. I'd prefer to go this route ideally. But 1800 bucks means I've to keep flipping a few of them.

Trying to keep it cost neutral as it goes which adds to the time.

Going to do all I can on it first then splurge, so I can just drive it on then.

Just picked up some brembos for the front and interior needs a going over,
Have all the uprated suspension gathered up for it too.

Just need time and energy 😂

In great news the blue sedan passed its inspection today, classic plates on the way!

          • Ah very good!

I like your style, a very impressive feat to keep all these cars going and on a break-even balance sheet too. Fair play to you!

Thanks man, yeah I'm spending a lot of time on them in fairness. I've had this one about 10 weeks. Minus two or three weekends for picking up other cars.

To get to this point it owes me about 2250 including purchase price and it should make 4k or thereabouts. It still needs another day or two of work to be right.

              • Slowly fixing up the interior of the v8 wagon. Fresher cloth front seats and center console need to source a front carpet!

Back onto the most recently acquired wagon, 5 speed and inhabited by rodents by looks of things.

Seem to have a resistance issue, fuel pump relay is fed direct from fuse panel, fed from direct fused connectytonthe battery.

Something is holding this thing in limbo and it's not engaging the pumps as a result.

I cleaned up some wiring in the footwell and replaced the old fuse holder with a new one and30 amp fuse, renewed the connector to the battery cable and cleaned up the terminal connectors.

No joy, will proceed with tracing the wires to fuse panel, hopefully it'll be something obvious!

This is her for reference losing count myself at this stage!

Pcv system on the blue one desperately needs a service, parts ordered.

She blew the dipstick out the block two days ago with an eight of oil around the immediate area. Ran it for about 2 mins before smelling it. The piston slap is a bit more noticeable to me at least but hoping nothings hurt.

Fingers crossed it doesn't blow up !

                    • I've been thinking it'd be a shocking waste to let this wagon get parted for sakes of it... Needs a clutch and some wiring...

                          • if you start driving a snorkeled, lifted 240 your transition will be almost complete. you just need to grow the back of your hair long but keep the front of short, business like maybe?

I could just let the hairy neck go entirely

                              • Took some time to clean out the garage a bit. It's normal to have 4 engines and 5 gearboxes sitting around right?

I really need to get some led light in here and paint the roof/ walls white, dark fecking cave!
