They'll remove engines / gearboxes but the rest you've to do yourself type deal.

I have to grab the rear diff out of that car and the passenger door for another person so it's going to get interesting next weekend

It's about an inch off the ground now so hopefully they'll throw it on stands for me !

    • New engine waiting to be built

Remote oil filter on the white one

Original location for reference once a turbo is fitted. Between the turbo/ exhaust manifold and the engine mount and boxed in by the alternator.

      • This look familiar, engine out again, tried starting it and the thing was locked up!

During my mating of the box/ trans the input shaft came out 2/8 of an inch and bound up.

Just got another used trans and everything spins freely! Mandatory washers due to even out the warped flex plate.

And finally back in the car. Now to wire, throw in the manifolds and get it driving. Half think of selling it now to get some saving together for the real dream car.

At gas monkey on the way home from picking up the trans

Oh and u bought a Datsun for a friend back home, soon to hit a boat and then the rotisserie for a resto!

        • A bit of light work on it, b pillar trims disintegrated in Texas heat. Got some black ones and painted them up in camel vinyl paint!

Picked up a running engine for $200 so saving my low mileage one as a backup for the coupe. After resealing it and thinking of eventually selling the white one I want to keep my best parts.

She'll be coming out again getting good at it at this stage. Quick seal kit thrown at it and a bit of a rattle can and she's good to go! It'll get the timing belt too.

Also threw a Walmart stereo system into it. Bluetooth and four speakers, delivered for $29.99 for black Friday.

Not exactly a kicker/ Kenwood combo but in the general theme of the car. Still waiting on the surround to arrive.

          • In my defense I went to look at the wheels, but then the guy washed it and I bought it for not much more than I was gonna pay for the wheels...

Anyone remember where my issues all started?

            Almost same body style...

            My usual, doesn't run/ drive but $600 I can't help myself

                • Nice.... you seem to be running the tried & tested 3 step plan that we all use...

                  Step 1. Collect old shitters
                  Step 2. ?????????
                  Step 3. Profit

                  Keep up the good work

It's like you know me 🙂

The interior will be the first place to tackle!

All I'm seeing is light surface rust so far in the odd place, nothing missing either !

Lol the original and one that sleeps inside.

This one has a whole host of suspension goodies I'm hoping to transfer over to the grey one. The car is worth more as parts, front clip can pull $1000 easy.

Lowered springs/ shocks and the msw wheels look great on any of them once cleaned up.

However if I can get this one running it'll be a nice car for someone with a bit of interior desanitizing/ a detail on what's left of the paint.

Same with the 244, it's turning out really clean with some interior and exterior detailing. This one will be sold once done. To finance all the madness.

Prices gave gone nuts for one of these that looks decent. 3-5k minimum so it should service the fleet for a while.

My w124 sounds like it has a supercharger early in the morn, trans is on way out ! Need the $$$$ for the rebuild !

And that Datsun is headed to cork/ limerick in new year to be restored and Rb swapped, tisn't mine, not boxy enough 😂

Mostly old boxes of cigarettes, it turned out okay for a first pass, loads of dust and driver's seat is done.

All that grey color is a thick layer of dust 🤣
