A few more uploads for the anoraks of you out there. This one is the first race meeting of the 1987 season at Mondello Park, with interviews and coverage from the Production Saloon competitors. Lots of new cars for the season including John Hayes 205 GTI 1.9, John Burns's Corolla Twin Cam, Gordon Kellett's Escort RS Turbo and Frank O'Rourke's Dealer Opel Team Ireland Kadett GSi (8v).

Another video of the Production Saloons <1300 and <1600, including the Kirkistown based Escort Sports and Sunbeam Ti machines. Plenty of locked wheels, body roll and wheelspin in this one- it seems a Production Saloon was quite a handful back in the day!

More Production Saloon action from the Phoenix Park. This time it is the Hawthorn Team race, where the little 1300cc cars are released early, followed by the 1600s, and then the Big Bangers, as Robin Rhodes used to call them- the 3.0 Capris and 2.8 Commodore GS/E....

For the week that's in it- here is a day that made Mick Merrigan smile even more than usual. Having dominated in FF1600 and FF Zetec here in Ireland, Neil Shanahan signed with Van Diemen for the 1999 UK season. As you will see, he wasn't at all phased by the competition and led strongly until a handling problem dropped him bacl- but not far!

A pretty entertaining Sidecar race from the 1994 Leinster Trophy meeting at Mondello. I have a few more of these but I don't know much about them and am not sure what year they are from. If anyone can help, PM me. Thanks!

Paddock footage of Stirling Moss at the Phoenix Park Races in 1982. He famously won the race after a scrap with the Porsche 917 of Dickie Attwood.
