    • Ah no, that’s a balls... but had to be done as them’s the rules.
I’m standing in a field full of sheep, is it wrong that I feel aroused?? 🤨🤪

      • Bit of a joke really for alonso. Max showing his true colors again today. He'd clear a pub with that attitude

        • The after the fact penalties are stupid (as I keep saying). Alonso himself made the point that he could have created a 10 sec gap if he had known about the penalty. You just can’t retrospectively apply time penalties, it’s seriously dumb.

I didn’t realise he was on the podium as well. That should surely be the final deadline. If they didn’t spot it on time then tough. They should really have some kind of cut off ie the penalty must be given within five laps if at all. That will cut out all this after the race legal stuff mumbo jumbo BS. It needs to become a real-time sport with a result that stands.

          • News just in they've double backed on the penalty and Alonso's back in p3 again.

              • The FIA just cant help themselves....

Apart from that it wasn't exactly a GP to remember, I hope the rest of the season
                isn't like this.

                  • I can understand if the infringement is done in the last laps that there might not be enough time to check the evidence and apply the penalty before the end, but in this case Alonso's pit stop was halfway through. There was ample time in which to review and hand out penalties.

The safety car was another complete joke.
There was no need for it, as Stroll had parked the ac in the escape road and it could have been pushed inside.
A single yellow flag for one lap would have been enough.

                      • Is Hamilton finished (in a top team) by the way? He's consistently beaten by Russell now. I know it will be difficult for Sky to move on from this but other than that surely he's done? Mercedes were clearly not big on giving him a nice contract last time around and you'd imagine they couldn't really care less now. I'm sure the McLaren boy(s) wouldn't mind a change, for example.

I believe the GPS informed race control that the car had stopped on track and not that it had pulled of to a safe place. Maybe they should consider using this old invention called eyes. I believe they work quite well.
When trouble arises and things look bad, there is always one individual who perceives a solution and is willing to take command.

Very often that individual is crazy.

But anyway, came across it and seen he had a couple of minutes talking to both
Martin Donnelly and Tommy Byrne about this seasons F1.

                            • Is there a point to watching it now? I mean Perez wont beat that Dutch lad... I watched the C4 coverage at the weekend then i watched the YT F1 channel highlights, the latter is shorter and takes less of my time. I know which ill be watching

                              • I have to say that I enjoyed watching the Saudi race. It's a crazy track if nothing else. 300+km/h on a street circuit. There was enough stuff happening too and I don't think the result was a foregone conclusion either. But sure highlights are fine too.
