It's sad, that Steve and Damo had to give up on it and the effort they have put in over the years is very much appreciated.

I do expect, as it has turned out, that people will continue to meet up at the location.

Collecting money however, might land whoever collects it in a whole load of pain, unless it's clearly specified that it goes to a charity and which charity it goes to.

There is a voluntary "Best car" competition anyone who wants can contribute can, winner gets prize.
It's voted for by everyone on the new FB group so it's people choice "Best car"
Lots of people behave if they want to win a prize, also new is the support of local recovery companies and the security services that patrol the industrial estate.
