On this Saturday around Newry, the final round of the BRC and Junior BRC so a fair decent field of cars.

Incidentally its being streamed live, first event on Irish soil I can recall thats had a live stream.

Im thinking of heading up tomorrow morning as the weather looks half decent, anyone else travelling up?

Had hoped to as would have been traveling through there on way back from Donegal, but times changed. Should be good.

Had planned on going up but a few other things have cropped up and put paid to any plans. Going to be a great battle between Pryce and Edwards for the BRC title, all the pressure will be on Matt to score good points while Osian will just need to get a few more points on the board. Going to be interesting to see how they handle it as they are both in VW Polos run by Melvyn Evans Motorsport.

Big schedule of live broadcasts from the Ulster Rally facebook page, BRC page will have updates too as will the On The Pacenote page.

Id love to do Killarney, but an 8hr round trip is really killing the buzz for me!

James Wilson has had to pull out due to health issues

                From https://www.facebook.com/JamesWilsonRallying
Unfortunately, and with sadness I have had to pull out of the Ulster Rally. I have had a terrible sickness and dizziness when driving. I have consulted with my doctor and have been diagnosed with an inner ear problem. With this condition I am experiencing dizziness, feeling unsteady, blurred vision and disorientation. Completing half the recce this morning hoping it would pass, things were not getting any better. The decision not to start, although hard is imperative as the safety of Arthur and myself are paramount. To say I am disappointed is an understatement.
I would like to apologise to the team Dom Buckley (RSC) as the car has been brought all the way from Scotland, my sponsors, family, friends, and supporters for not being able to start my home event.

cannot wait till next week! been tool long since 2019.
Modifieds dont do it for me. 15" wheels and flat shift dont belong in an escort!
im looking forward to seeing the RS1600 battle between Mark Falvey and Denis Moynihan, and the BDG battle of the historic MK2's

looking back now, I think that maybe, every now and again, I should have braked a little earlier

I'm not disagreeing with you, we actually have a proper Grp4 car, Cossack rep.
2.0 BDG on carbs, dogleg Quaife, Atlas on slipper leaves etc.
But the pace will be serious!

Great battle for overall honours, Edwards leading after SS4 but Pryce took 10 seconds out of him on SS5 to take a 2.1 second lead but Edwards went on the attack on SS6 and took the time back and at second service the difference is 8.3 seconds. Long service halt now before the final loop of stages with rain falling in places and at least the last two stages to be run in darkness

Pryce off on 2nd last stage and Edwards through the finish of last stage taking the rally win and the British Championship. Just the fight for the Junior title to be worked out now

Just back home now. Great event.

Very very very few spectators! Admittedly we didn't move much from Shin Bridge but it felt very quiet!

I did'nt see this post till this morning and so had no idea the Ulster Rally was on.However I was up north on Saturday and did'nt see any rally cars, support vans or even any tasty spectator cars!! I did see the shed on the bridge at the Carrickdale Hotel though. So it must have been quiet Miller.
