I always wonder, who the hell buys these things new?

Total base spec 3.6 manual, probably €2400 tax, and its only done 10k km

yes true to early for a VR6 it’s a conversion, a 1.8 16v by the looks of it.

Yeah, it's an odd spec for a '98 model too as it doesn't have the passenger airbag and is using the '96 spec steering wheel too.

It should still sell at €10k though. You'd be at twice that, and more, to get one from Japan now. Even the UKDM versions are nearing £15k STG.

That is nice. And I have to agree with the article - the best looking 7 series.

Must say I always thought the E32 was the best looking. But the E38 is a nice looking motor also, don't get me wrong. Unlike the ghastly E65 (pukes).

Nice combo indeed, a 30 year old 5GT is not a runner as a daily driver realistically.

And taking some inspiration from Johnny 89 recent TVR purchase, this 1998 Chimera looks bloody lovely.
A lot of work and money looks to have been spent on it recently too...

Guided £14-16k, granted importing will be a bit more of a headache for this age of car no doubt.
