thats what happens when the overloards get too big for their boots, and everyone realises its the members content that keeps the forum alive, not their ban hammer
looking back now, I think that maybe, every now and again, I should have braked a little earlier

One Mod had a bad day, and in fairness, Miller was being a bit arsey that day, having a bit of a fit over a non-issue. Two people having a bad day, it happens.
He was unbanned and can come back any time he likes.
However, Millers had requested that all his content and account be removed. Shame it panned out that way, but that's his choice.
No need for "Poor Miller" melodrama, I doubt he is losing any sleep over it and I hope he's having fun with his fleet.
A certain amount of moderation is always needed, content keeps forums alive, but at the same time, antagonitic behaviour also kills it, so we try, not always successfully, to weed that out to keep the place friendly. I don't care if you are the Leonarda da Vinci of spannering, we still expect people to "be excellent to one another" - and yes that applies to the mods too, but people are people and won't always fit some gold standard. We generally are pretty light handed with moderation, bans are notable for how rare they are.
