  • How much to VRT EK9 Civic?

Ok, I have been looking at the likes of EK9's,DC2's and possibly even the DC5 and trying to put a plan together as to what it might cost to bring one in.

Of course that great reservoir of knowledge on their site, doesn't list any of the three models as far as I can see, only the DB8.

Has anyone brought in or know of a car recently brought in,what the VRT was like on them?Be great if you had details for an EK9 but the Integra models would also help as well.

Feel free to DM me if you prefer either.

This probably wont happen for a while yet,I have a feeling its probably too expensive anyway, what with JDM prices and all the rest but if I could get a pretty good idea of what taxes will be charged,it would really help the man maths decision process.

Thanks mk2glenn, do you know roughly when that was brought in?

I sort of had the figure of 7/8k in my head for one alright.

Here's how Revenue will do it for you
Go on to Trade Car View
        https://www.tc-v.com/used_car_smart/...civic/?fd=Ek9#

Filter on your EK9 and year Sort by highest to lowest value
Average the top 3 most expensive
gross up for say €1500 shipping, 6% customs, 23% Vat,
        round to the nearest thousand,
X 41% is your magic number

€8k was the last I heard for one being VRT'd and that was around September last year

Edit: it was actually €8.2k or €8.4k.

Thanks that's very useful to see how its broken down.

Not hard to see how the taxes can add up to a fair chunk of change looking at that.
The 41% is related to the VRT/Co2 band I'm guessing?

Wait 2 year then bring in an early 1995 DC2 Type R, €200 VRT
