  • I suppose I better annoy myself and take it for a spin

    • My god even to look at it’s drool worthy… can imagine it sounds epic! I love everything about this thread. The attention to detail, quality of parts and the car itself.

Be very interesting to hear what you think compared to your old CSL!

          Thank you!

Still plenty to sort, I can't wait to do the paint correction and ceramic coating on it!

If I can get to Bray on Sunday, I've a couple of guys who are handier with camera's, sound and technology than I am, to get some sound clips. I tried to get some on my own yesterday and they turned out rubbish.

          • Still no sound clips 😂

But I did get it out in the sun, detailed the engine bay, steam cleaned the interior, replaced an 02 sensor, put another few months tax on it, brake discs for the new setup have arrived, just waiting on everything else from Freaky Parts now to fit.

I've gone with the Renault RS Brembo calipers coupled with E9X M3 360mm discs.

            Roll on the summer!

            • I'll be honest, the colour wouldn't be my choice, but otherwise it's a lovely car.
who'd have thought "Renault" parts would be an upgrade on an M3

That and the intake are lovely...

It's can be marmite, but reserve judgement until you see it in the flesh, it's far, far nicer in person!

Are you taxing the big girl over the summer? We'll have to get a few pics of them together if you do!

                    does Renault own Brembo??
I’m standing in a field full of sheep, is it wrong that I feel aroused?? 🤨🤪

it was a little bit of humour between myself and Donal .

Thanks man! That was you in the E92 I presume!

It looked stunning from the quick glance I caught of it!

                            • All the bits for the brake upgrade are now finally here, after a huge delay from HEL for the brake lines.

So the full spec of the Freaky parts kit I went for:

                              Brembo 4 pot calipers
                              PBS Prorace Pads
                              Custom HEL lines
                              360mm E9X M3 discs
Custom adapter to make it all fit the E46.
                              Racingline Brake Fluid.

Total cost for the kit works out about €1650, so hopefully represents huge bang for buck.

                                extra force now 😉
