Dug out my brake disc lock from the garage - has not been used since I had my Bandit in 2001. No key with it as usual so I then had to do even more digging through old boxes of keys and I eventually found it. Result! Nearly had bought a new one and then vaguely remembered that I had one on my bandit.
Only problem is there is no storage space under the saddle on the Triumph to store any stuff. I was able to store this lock and also my heavy chain lock under the saddle in the bandit.
Damien, you know I have problems with cleaning things lol
Alfaguy -- I have the same storage issue , I got the Oxford Screamer disc Lock (about 45 in Halfords); they come with a pouch you put on your belt
Alot more comfortable than having it in my pocket

It's more appropriate to say that I have the problem with cleaning things mate. The Duke looks immaculate and that's never a bad thing.
On the subject of storage the SV is quite lacking in that department too. The previous owner used a top box all the time to get around this issue but I couldn't live with that lump hanging off the back, except for a proper trip away on the bike.
I replaced the pillion seat with a cowl and the pillion pegs were removed too. Two bolts undone either side and a new exhaust hanger to hold the new can and the rear was much tidier.
But I used the spare bolt holes on the other side of the frame to mount the pouch that came with my own disc lock, which makes it very close to hand when the lock is needed and it means you're not carrying a lump like that in a pocket.
It may not be the ideal solution for everyone, but I'm happy with it.
What did I do - discovered I left the ignition turned on in the 450 (again). Multi-meter shows 0.2V Hoping against hope the ol' vintage heavy-duty charger can salvage something.
Finally bike is back from the major service, tyres, fork seals & oil, clutch oil, levers, headstock bearings, new spark plugs, cleaned and ready for a blast tomorrow hope the weather will good for us hehe
Any car that merely takes you from A-B does not go far enough.
