  • Driving south at midnight in a howling hurricane (eh not really, that was from Stone Roses second coming - it was after lunch today in moderate rain)

He works in the coffee shop at that place. Nice guy helped me get my MGB up and running back in 2006 after it had been laid up a few years. Uses it as his daily driver

          • I think I spotted Cold on the Southern Cross Road, Bray Saturday 9.45AM 07 silver Merc?
The lamination on the front windscreen is a bit funky for my old man eyes, couldn't see the driver.
I was in the dark red (Proteo Rosso) Alfa 166.
Decent round trip with possibly a slightly optimistic trip reading on MPG.
Sunday I hit a small milestone

            • Nice.

186,000mls. is the next milestone for metric motorists in the 21st century.
              (186000mls = 300000kms)

                166,000 miles given it's an Alfa 166

                  😅

New goal - should you choose to accept it. Try harder re. Fuel economy... 😉

                    I've seen 36.8 with a steady 50MPH.
                    (And it's a 3.0.)
It upsets the lorries though as they have to overtake you!

                      • I see this every so often locally, senior gent driving his daily. Saw it a few weeks ago, driver waiting patiently for his passengers return- I wanted to go over and strike up a conversation but he looked deep in thought, smoking his pipe.
Sort of reminds me of my dad, with the beard and pipe but in a minor not a merc 😀

You know you've made it in life if you are piloting one of those babies.

I’m standing in a field full of sheep, is it wrong that I feel aroused?? 🤨🤪
