That oil filler cap is definitely of Rover origin.

Ohh man that was many moons ago. Started doing this in 2001 and finished it (well not really, it's still not finished) in late 2004. It lived on that ramp for three years, good job nobody needed to use it . As i was building it i changed from 35mm SLR to a digital SLR so a lot of the early pics are in printed form. I must scan them and throw up a build thread.

Before the suspension rebuild and copious amounts of varnish.

Thats the cleanest the engine has ever been and it stayed that clean for at least four minutes

This is categorical proof for people who know the car that it did in fact have varnish on it at one stage. That too lasted approx four minutes Gawdammit

This was just after its first nighttime test drive/slidefest. No door windows, carpets, roof cloth etc, just seats, steering wheel and pedals.

I'm a big fan of this bus having seen it a few times at Cherrywood. It's just mental in all the right ways

Also brings back different memories for me - That civic in the background became mine for a while. VTAC YO. A lot of fun had in that car.
